Right now I want everything to be in light, light pink. It is a beautiful color. Like my nail polish, a pair ballerina from Repetto or a simple tank top! I like the one Ida is wearing.

Daniella was born in Copenhagen. She has been drawing since her childhood and got her first sawing machine when she was twelve. At the age of 18, she moved to New York and worked as window decorator. She also started to sell her own brand in small shops in Soho and Lower East Side.

After seven months she moved back to Copenhagen and started to study at a design school, Københavns tilskærer akademi.

According to Daniella the Danish design has quality. ”It is refine, simple and is exploring new ways of thinking but within the frame of Copenhagen design. Simplicity with a twist”.

Inbal Gvili talked with me about the great experience of working at Alexander McQueen and the competition in the fashion industry.

“I attended the design school, Shenkar here in Tel Aviv. After that I wanted to see the real world. I wanted to work for the fashion houses that were interesting for me. So I moved to London, and after a year I joined Alexander McQueen as an intern. I got a lot of experience there and I really enjoyed it. They were so good with details and layering. But the atmosphere was very competitive over there. The fashion world is hard and tough, and I understand it. I tell you why. In the end of the day everybody has the same dream, there are a few spots and everybody is running for them. I guess it is like this in every industry. But I also believe that if people are good enough they don’t need to do it, because their talent speak for themselves”.

Miuccia Prada is the Queen of the fashion world. I am always getting impressed by the way she is developing the brand and in the same time keeping it in the way it always has been. You can always see a touche of Prada in the collections, but also something different from what you expect.

The spring/summer collection for 2011 got a lot of attention. And during these past months we have seen the pieces, the bananas, the stripes, the monkeys and of course those platform sneakers in every magazine.

I think I can say that this collection will define this season.
