Eyal and Sahar Part Four
10:19 - 28/02/2012, New Faces

When I asked Eyal and Sahar about which exhibition or museum I should visit in Tel Aviv, they told me about the latest one by Yohji Yamamoto at the Design Museum Holon. Over 80 signature women’s and menswear silhouettes will be exhibited to celebrate the 60 th anniversary of the relationship between Japan and Israel as well as the 40 th anniversary of Yamamoto’s company, Y’s.

Yohji Yamamoto says “After exhibiting in London, Florence and Paris, it is a natural flow for me to organize an exhibition in Israel this time – a country very rich in culture. In an era where we only receive prepared information, as a thinker, I want to see Israel with my own eyes and feel it through my skin to get to know it well. Now I will be able to experience it live”.

You can read more about the exhibition here, and also on Diane Pernet’s blog. I will definitely take my time and visit Design Museum Holon soon.

Anaïs Kretz Lameche Part Eleven
08:34 - 27/02/2012, New Faces

INSPIRATION
I get very inspired by powerful, confident women, who go and choose their own way, like my mum and my boss Lili Assefa.

In the fashion industry, the people that create fashion, the designers or the people that live for fashion amaze me. Street style is something I love; how people pick out their favorites and put together outfits with their choice of fabric, pattern and so on.

Unfortunately I have stopped to buy magazines, but I am mostly reading about fashion online and visiting shopping sites (Net-a-Porter, Shopbob, Browns fashion).

To wear white
09:47 - 26/02/2012, New Faces

Elin Carlson is wearing a beautiful white skirt from By Malene Birger, and Danish brand which has impressed me lately. Take a look at the latest collection and campaign here.

I can’t wait for the days when you can wear white again. My next fashion stop will probably be Cheap Monday, where I will buy a pair of white jeans. I will match them with a pair of black heels and light blue shirt. How will you dress this coming spring?

Milan Fashion Week
12:51 - 26/02/2012, Streetstyle

Milan Fashion Week started a couple of days ago. But what does that mean? A man once told me that you can choose what kind of fashion person you are, according to which fashion city you prefer. Because in each and everyone of them there are few characteristic styles and feelings. In Milan’s case, it is all about the Italian elegance, tradition, glamour and too much jewellery and make-up. Most of the brands have a long history and a big knowledge of handcraft comparing to New York and London with their young, creative, new-thinking designers.

I am looking forward to see the Milanese colors, prints and fabrics at Gucci, Prada, Roberto Cavalli, Versace, Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo and MaxMara but also the outfits the street style icons Anna Dello Russo, Aurora Sansone, Viviana Volpicella are putting together.

Modern Vagabond by Dagmar
10:29 - 24/02/2012, Designer

Acne’s Jonny Johansson doesn’t seem to be the only one who got inspired by Morocco this season. The sisters behind the brand Dagmar also got inspired by the simple and relaxing life style in Morocco and created a collection for the modern vagabond. Their idea was that the garments should be relaxing but still glamorous, made for the traveling woman who is going to parties, working long hours and but is still having some moments to relax.

Mathilda von Essen is wearing a red dress from Dagmar’s spring collection.
