Fanny has started a project together with Johan Cederberg and Victor Holmberg, which is called FANNY. They released their first single, Come to Me, in the end of February. She says music is her life, gets inspired by Monica Zetterlund and her sister and in one year she hopes that FANNY will travel around the world on a tour.

Fanny is wearing an outfit from Rodebjer’s S/S 2012 collection. Rodebjer has definitely impressed us all since some seasons ago and I have been wondering what suddenly changed. Probably it was time for everybody to understand what a great designer Carin Rodebjer really is. She is true, creative and has her own style. That’s what my mum told me today as well. After the show in August 2011, when I saw the spring collection for the first time, I got the pleasure to speak with Carin. If you know Swedish, you can read the interview here.

This is how Rodebjer describes the collection:

”For the Rodebjer Spring / Summer 2012 collection, we imagine an artist frantically mixing life and work under the blazing sun of the Mediterranean coast.

We picture the moment of intense presence, when everything is connected, when life feeds art, art feeds life and something unique, yet wholly natural, is born.

The color palette is based on artists’ materials, such as canvas and clay, with splashes of bright paint. The range moved from raw nude leather, and unbleached canvas to sunny yellow, bright vermillion and intense ultramarine blue. Counterbalancing the earthy and the brilliant colors there is also crisp white, classic navy blue, charcoal grey and faded black.

The collection is rich in textures. Powder puff fluffiness combined with raw canvas and sleek swimsuit nylon. Rich, bright velvet mixed with crisp, cool viscose and smooth leather, bouclé crepe alongside honeycomb heavy knit and soft, striped denim.

The collection captures a sharp and natural elegance. ”

Right now the Paris Fashion Week is going on. The Sartorialist wrote last week that some people contacted him and didn’t feel that they could relate to the shoots from the fashion shows. His shoots are only showing exclusive pieces which people can’t afford. But he answered the comments in an interesting way which I agree with.

During the fashion shows we should see the pieces on the runway (or on fashion elite on the street style blogs) in another way, and see it instead of a place of inspiration. Try to find something you like there, like a material, shape, combination of colour or styling and make it yours by shopping in Zara, COS or in vintage store. There are so many opportunities to dress in an elegant way.

I asked Fanny what she will wear for spring. ”I will go for colours and match blue with red together with my new bomber jacket in metallic. The basic colour is beige and I want the feeling to be easy and light.”

Fanny var en av originalmedlemmarna i popgruppen Play. Just nu satsar hon på solokarriär.

Fanny: ”Min musik är poppig men med ett ganska mörkt uttryck. Texterna är som berättelser där man får lära känna en rätt kluven och dyster person som jag ser lite som mitt alter ego! Jag tycker att det är härligt att gå in i olika roller när jag sjunger mina låtar. Det gör det mycket lättare för mig att förmedla texten och den rätta känslan i låtarna”.

Eftersom Fanny är låtskrivare och sångerska bad jag henne skriva ner fem låtar som hon lyssnar på just nu.
